Truth and Dolphin perform a style of slam poetry set to idiosyncratic folk rock. Reso Nation compares them to Thom Yorke jamming with Leonard Cohen and Destroyer. Originating in Victoria BC, their first album “Chronicles of Living Memory, Part 1” received radio play across Canadian university radio and public radio, making the top 10 for three months in Kamloops’ CFBX-FM. With tea merchant Jared Nyberg on vocals, visual arts painter Steve Chmilar on guitar, loop and back up vocals, they are often joined by multi-instrumentalist and fellow songwriter Cory Christiansen on tour, with Sister Speak’s Sherri Anne lending her vocals and guitar for select shows.
